Work
at a care home can bring about many opportunities; personally,
socially, and for career development. Care work can also be a
good stepping stone for those seeking to train in nursing, as
a doctor or in any care or medical related careers, and offers
a great way to gain knowledge and experience.
About
this time of year we are looking for staff to work for the duration
of the summer as well as permanently.
"I
have been working at Burcot Grange for the past 5 years, and my
experience has shown me that nursing is definitely the career
for me. Earlier this year I began studying a Nursing Diploma at
the University of Central Englands (UCE). Burcot Grange has supported
me in my studies"
To
be a care assistant you should be sensitive to the needs of people
from different religious and cultural backgrounds, be sympathetic
and patient, and a good communicator, be reliable, flexible and
able to work as part of a team and able to remain calm under pressure.
"...a
caring and friendly atmosphere, all the staff are very friendly
and they are always available to help you if you need it"
Burcot Grange has been consistently awarded the Investors In People
accreditation, reflecting the level of training and investment
within the home.
